Division I Players Of the Week:

Defensive Player of the Week: Skyler Fretz, Penn State

Fretz was key to the Nittany Lion backfield as Penn State defeated Old Dominion 6-2 and Virginia 3-0 to open the season. Penn State allowed only 16 total shots (8 on cage) and three corners on the weekend.

Offensive Player of the Week: Greta Nauck, Delaware

Nauck scored career-highs of four goals and eight points in Saturday’s 5-2 victory against the Buckeyes.  The sophomore added the first goal of Sunday’s game and followed with an assist as the Hens defeated OSU, 6-3.

 

Rookie of the Week: Margaux Paolino, Duke

Paolino set up the game-winning goals in both of Duke’s victories on the opening weekend, finishing with four assists in the two games as the Blue Devils outscored their opponents 10-2.
